First of all, I want to say thanks to everyone who signed up and played Reclamation at Origins. The overwhelming positive feedback was a nice confidence boost and helps us know that we are moving in the right direction. It was also nice to meet and talk to a number of people from the Cincinnati area. It was definitely an exciting experience overall. I do think the RPGs in general were not attended as well in previous years, and perhaps that is a byproduct of holding the convention at the end of May rather than June.
So what’s next? First and foremost, I am going to finish the work necessary to allow people to order the customized Reclamation playing deck from this site. After that, I’ll be forming our Origins demo games into mini-adventures that you can download from this site. That way, you can get the game and have a couple adventures ready to go to make it easier to sit down with friends and play Reclamation.
I also got an opportunity to play Call of Cthulhu, Deadlands (Savage Worlds), Aces & Eights (sort of….), and Deathwatch. I signed up to play a new RPG called Time Shredders that apparently uses playing cards as well, but no one showed up to run the game.
